"From Out of the Fire"

As we talked about in the last post, we made it through the holiday season and are off to a great start this year.  With the new year comes new ideas, new challenges, and new creations.

In January Papa Joe, Jeanie, and I went to a Food Show in Tampa, Florida. There we were able to see, touch and taste all the latest trends in the culinary world for the year 2016. This month, February, we had a mixologist come in and show us the latest trending drinks to pair with our meals. I have to say between the two events, the one thing that really stoked our fire was the promoting of local produce to create and enhance the cocktails and dishes we are creating. One drink that blew my mind was the Bruschetta Martini that Armando the mixologist showed us. I can't wait for our guest to try it alongside one of the featured appetizers!

That being said: I'm challenging our readers to send us their input and ideas on their favorite Italian dishes and what they might like to see as one of Papa Joe's featured specials in the future. Please give us your feedback below in the comment box. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

This leads me to mention Valentine’s Day, during which we are prepared Lobster Ravioli, with a 6 ounce petite tenderlion topped with Boursin garlic and herb cheese, served with Broccoli Rabe as our featured special. If you were able to join us this past Valentine’s Day and have a special story to tell, we would love for you to share it with us!
